ノミやカンナを用いて木を削り出す刳物(くりもの) という技法で匣(はこ)や盆を制作する中沢学。

樹木と出会い木目と向き合うことから生まれる造形は年を重ねる毎にミニマルへ。

“ 用(機能) “や” 美 ” だけではない” 心が動く、感じること ”を大切にする彼ならではの日常風景の一部となる、空間と事柄を繋ぐモノたちをご紹介いたします。

長い年月とともに色濃く艶を纏った姿を想いながら是非お手に取ってご覧ください。

Gaku Nakazawa creates boxes and trays using a technique called kurimono, which involves carving the wood with a chisel and a plane.

His works, which are created by encountering trees and facing their grains, will become more minimal as the time goes by.

We will introduce objects that connect space and matter, which become a part of his own daily landscape, valuing not only function and beauty but also the feeling of being moved by the heart.

Please take a look at his works and imagine how the colour deepens and luster increases over time.
